Los Angeles CD1 Small Business Grant Program: $400,000 Available — Applications Open Now

Los Angeles Councilmember Eunisses Hernandez has launched a $400,000 Small Business Grant Program to provide immediate financial relief to independently owned businesses in Council District 1 (Highland Park, Echo Park, Glassell Park, and surrounding neighborhoods). Applications opened on Friday, March 27, 2026.

What the Funding Addresses

• Rising operating costs
• Economic impact of recent immigration enforcement activity
• Wildfire-related revenue losses
• Declining consumer foot traffic

Who Can Apply

• Independently owned businesses located in Los Angeles Council District 1
• Priority given to businesses experiencing revenue loss from immigration enforcement impacts, rising tariffs, or rising rents
• Immigrant-owned and legacy neighborhood businesses are particularly encouraged to apply

Program Administration

The program is administered in partnership with two experienced small business support organizations:

• PACE Business Development Center
• New Economics for Women

Both organizations have extensive experience supporting small and immigrant-owned businesses and can provide application assistance.
