PSEG Long Island Announces 2026 Business Grants and Financial Incentive Programs

PSEG Long Island has launched its 2026 Business First financial incentive programs for small business customers on Long Island. Since 2018, over $3.4 million has been distributed to hundreds of small businesses.

Community Thrive Grants: Up to $10,000 for chambers of commerce, business improvement districts, and civic associations for downtown community projects. NYSERDA Disadvantaged Community (DAC) areas get a 25% bonus; nonprofits receive 10% extra. Deadline: September 30, 2026.

Main Street Revitalization Grant: $2,500 to $100,000 directly to businesses undertaking renovation or expansion. Pre-approval required before construction. DAC bonus: 25%; nonprofit bonus: 10%.

Vacant Space Revival Program: Up to $10,000 in electric bill credits for new businesses entering space vacant for at least one year.

EV Make Ready Program: Up to $45,000 per charger plug; up to $100,000 for infrastructure upgrades.

Fleet Make Ready Program: Up to $200,000 to electrify vehicle fleets.

Energy Efficiency Rebates: Up to $4,000 per apartment for heat pumps ($5,000 in DAC areas); up to $1,200 for ENERGY STAR heat pump water heaters; free energy assessments available.
