Texas AgPRO Grant: $5,000 to $500,000 for Producers, Apply by May 14, 2026
Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller, the Texas Department of Agriculture, and the Texas Agriculture Finance Authority have launched the new Agriculture Production Resource Opportunity (AgPRO) grant program. Eligible Texas agricultural producers can apply for awards ranging from $5,000 to $500,000.
What the Funding Covers
AgPRO is intended to help producers start, grow, or expand agricultural operations.
- Tractors, irrigation systems, and other agricultural equipment
- Barn, greenhouse, storage, and fencing improvements
- Livestock handling upgrades such as working pens and loading facilities
- Apiary expansion and honey extraction equipment
- Innovative technologies and conservation practices that improve efficiency
Who Can Apply
The program is aimed at individual or business agricultural producers directly engaged in operations in Texas.
- Location: Must be domiciled or headquartered in Texas
- Activity: Farming, ranching, forestry, hydroponics, and similar agricultural production activities
- Income test: At least 50% of gross income must come from agricultural products
- Status: U.S. citizens residing in Texas, or businesses made up solely of eligible U.S. citizens or resident aliens

- 10% match for grants up to $100,000
- 20% match for awards from $100,000.01 to $250,000
