USDA: $44 Million Available for Rural Broadband, Telemedicine, and Distance Learning Grants
The U.S. Department of Agriculture has announced $44 million in rural connectivity grant opportunities for fiscal year 2026.
What It Covers
- $17 million through the Community Connect Grant Program for broadband deployment in rural areas that do not meet minimum internet service thresholds.
- $27 million through the Distance Learning and Telemedicine Grant Program for equipment and technology that connects rural residents to education and healthcare.
Who Can Apply
Eligible applicants may include counties, rural communities, internet service providers, and other eligible entities. Distance Learning and Telemedicine projects generally serve rural communities with 20,000 or fewer residents.
