Monmouth Arts ArtHelps Grants: $500 to $10,000 Available, Apply by June 15, 2026

Monmouth Arts, in partnership with the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, has opened the 2027 ArtHelps Local Arts Program. Eligible organizations in Monmouth County, New Jersey can apply for operating support, project funding, or mini grants depending on their size and program type.

What It Covers

• General Operating Support for established nonprofit arts organizations.
• Special Project Support for arts events or short-term arts projects.
• Mini Grants for new, emerging, or smaller arts organizations.

Who Can Apply

Eligible applicants include Monmouth County nonprofit arts organizations and community groups with arts programs that serve the public. Some categories also allow municipalities, educational institutions, religious institutions, and non-arts nonprofits when the project is arts-specific.

• General Operating Support: arts nonprofits at least 3 years old, with requests from $1,000 to $10,000 and capped at 20% of the annual operating budget.
• Special Project Support: requests from $1,000 to $5,000 and up to 50% of project expenses.
• Mini Grants: fixed awards of $500 on a rolling basis.

How to Apply

• Deadline: June 15, 2026 for the main 2027 grant cycle.
• Apply: Review guidelines and access the grant portal at Monmouth Arts ArtHelps.
• Workshops: Free online workshops are scheduled for April 29 at 12:00 p.m. and May 13 at 5:00 p.m..

Important Details

The grant period runs from January 1, 2027 through December 31, 2027. Applicants may apply for one grant type per year and must be able to complete required reporting, including the application, contract, interim report, and final report.
