The U.S. Department of Education opened the Supporting Effective Educator Development (SEED) competition with $90,000,000 in available funding. The program supports evidence-based projects that prepare, develop, and strengthen educators to improve student outcomes.

Eligible applicants include institutions of higher education, national nonprofit organizations, the Bureau of Indian Education, and qualifying partnerships that include eligible education or nonprofit entities plus a for-profit partner. Certain tribal governments are also eligible.
