The U.S. Department of Agriculture has opened the FY26 Farmers Market Promotion Program (FMPP). This program can help eligible groups get between $50,000 and $500,000 for projects that grow direct-to-consumer food sales, including farmers markets, CSA programs, agritourism, roadside stands, and online sales.
What the Funding Covers
- Capacity Building projects: $50,000 to $250,000
- Community Development Training and Technical Assistance projects: $100,000 to $500,000
- Turnkey Marketing and Promotion projects: fixed funding options from $50,000 to $100,000
- Turnkey Recruitment and Training projects: fixed funding options from $50,000 to $100,000
Who Can Apply
USDA says applicants must be domestic entities owned, operated, and located in the United States or U.S. territories. Eligible applicants include agricultural businesses and cooperatives, CSA networks, economic development corporations, local governments, nonprofits, producer networks, regional farmers market authorities, and tribal governments.
