The U.S. Department of Agriculture has opened the FY26 Local Food Promotion Program (LFPP). The program supports local and regional food business enterprises that process, distribute, aggregate, or store locally or regionally produced food products.
What the Funding Covers
- Planning projects: $25,000 to $100,000
- Implementation projects: $100,000 to $500,000
- Turnkey Marketing and Promotion projects: fixed funding options from $50,000 to $100,000
- Turnkey Recruitment and Training projects: fixed funding options from $50,000 to $100,000
Who Can Apply
Eligible applicants must be domestic entities located in the United States or U.S. territories and must support local or regional food businesses. USDA lists agricultural businesses and cooperatives, CSA networks, food councils, economic development corporations, local governments, nonprofits, producer associations, regional farmers market authorities, and tribal governments as eligible entities.
